About Us

John G. Asmussen is the owner and founder of EGA Technology Specialists, LLC. Mr. Asmussen has over 20 years of law enforcement experience. For the last 16 years, Mr. Asmussen has been assigned to a federal Cyber Crimes Task Force investigating Internet Crimes Against Children, computer intrusions, ransomware, intellectual property theft, fraud, and various other forms of cyber crime. Mr. Asmussen is a certified digital forensic examiner and is often called to assist other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with their investigations. Mr. Asmussen earned a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice (magna cum laude) from McNeese State University and he currently holds several digital forensic certifications including: AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF). Mr. Asmussen has been recognized as an expert witness in both the 4th & 6th Judicial District Courts in Louisiana.
